Snowed In

2010

This album is one of my favorites. Tracks 1, 5, and 8 are (IMHO) the standouts. I always imagine a 1940’s WWII-era USO dance. It starts out festive and lively, but by track 8 the soldiers in uniform and lovely young ladies have paired off. They are slow-dancing while the singer and the orchestra play.

A little aside: Normally the song “Step Into Christmas” is one of my most despised holiday songs (Sorry, Sir Elton). The version I used on my album though is so radically different, I don’t even recognize it as the same song. I really like this version, and I hope you will too.
