Peace Love Joy Hope
2008
This is the weird one. A lot of people seem to really like it, but starting about track five the songs get a little strange. As I’ve said, my albums tend reflect my headspace at the time. 2008 was a strange year for me. I had some incredibly painful, heartbreaking events happen that year, but near the end of the year Obama had just been elected and I was feeling hopeful again. I think this album reflects that.
Special Note:
My friend David (who is very knowledgable) tells me that track number 8 is actually “Ma’oz Tzur” not “Mi Y’maleil.” On the album though that the track was taken the title is listed as “Mi Y’maleil.” I double-checked both my physical CD and online to make sure my copy wasn’t mislabeled. There is also a “Ma’oz Tzur” on that album, so I believe somebody at the record label screwed up.
