To create this album I reviewed hundreds of songs. I can personally attest that there is some weird-ass Christmas music out there. I even ran across a punk-rock version of the worst holiday song of all time- The Christmas Shoes. I thought about including it as a joke but immediately reconsidered. Not even heavy guitar can disguise that abomination of a song.
The final mix is more sugary pop than in years past. Not sure exactly how that happened. My albums tend to be a reflection of whatever my mood is around this time of year, and I must have been in a pretty good mood. I do have a confession to make though: pop little holiday ditties are a guilty pleasure of mine. And while I know some of you prefer your music with more gravitas, I hope you will enjoy this too.
